Five Field Holler

Having played together since 2005, Five Field Holler have recently started to cause a buzz with a collection of original songs based around topics such as reality TV and state of the economy, along with original interpretations of material by greats such as Howlin' Wolf, Freddie King, and Doctor John.

The band is Chris Saunders on guitar & voice, Emil Engström on bass, keyboard maestro Marco Andreose and Robin Lowrey on drums, all experienced musicians who have played in blues, jazz and rock 'n' roll bands for many years.

Five Field Holler have played at several large 'Boogaloo' blues weekends along side acts such Errol Linton, Robin Bibi and Otis Grand, have played support slots for The Earl Green band and Trafficker, as well as wowing crowds at local Blues venues in the South West London area.

Five Field Holler play an exciting progressive brand of blues & funk, with an ear tuned to the past, an eye on the future, and a high-energy improvisational approach. Inspiration ranges from the classic blues of the 50s and 60s, the New Orleans funk of Professor Longhair and The Meters, slippery Blue Note soul-jazz and greasy Stax flavoured R'n'B.
