Line Up
It is a limited edition single and follows their debut, eponymously titled, sold
out EP. The single is set to raise the bar for great pop tunes as we head into the
new decade. It is backed with “The One Thing”, which could easily stand as an ‘A’
side for any lesser band. Originally formed by Joe and Russ during the autumn of
2008, the boys took on Alex soon afterwards. Not afraid of producing a catchy chorus,
the trio’s aim is to create 'Dark Pop' a sound totally of their own. Swinging wildly
between indie guitar pop and 80’s synth driven disco, “You Ruin Your Health” sounds
something like Kasabian in a shoot out with Erasure whilst Joy Division, Human League
and MGMT struggle to keep the peace. Unsurprisingly, the media has been good to Take
Aim Fire so far. Steve Lamacq took to playing their very early demos on his BBC Radio
show, inspiring others at the BBC and rival stations to support them right through
2009. Come along for a bedazzled, mirror balled ride, as Take Aim Fire shoot us into
their bright future, whilst we flay our hips wildly to a timeless bass sequenced
disco beat, dripping with be-
